The list is an annual, quantitative study that uses objective, independent research, and public data sources on its 100 Top Hospitals list in aggregate with system-level data to determine its 15 Top Health Systems. Using a Balanced Scorecard concept, the research enables health system leaders to understand how their clinical quality and efficiency measures up.
