Crothall Serves Two of Thomson-Reuters Top 10 Health Systems

Thomson Reuters recently released its third annual study identifying the top 10 U.S. health systems based on quality of care, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. 2 of the 10 are served by Crothall Healthcare:

• Cape Cod Healthcare in Hyannis, MA, where Crothall Healthcare provides EVS, Linen, and call center services

• CareGroup Healthcare System (Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital) in Boston, MA, where Crothall provides EVS, Patient Transport, Linen, and call center services

Tomson Reuters researches health systems to determine the top ten whose practices saved more lives, caused fewer medical complications, made fewer medical errors, followed recommended standards of care more closely, released patients half a day sooner on average, and scored better on patient satisfaction surveys. To rise to these high levels of performance, according to senior vice president of performance improvement Jean Chenoweth, "Health system leaders must be providing crystal clear goals and communication as well as the means for staff to execute effectively.” The Thomson Reuters standards also indicate that the same systems are positioned to continue performing well in the era of healthcare reform.
