Make A DifferenceClient Kyle Howell, Vice President of Support Services, received a letter addressed to Terri Cody from a grieving husband. In it, he says, "The care, concern, and love that you showed my wife-a perfect stranger to you-is a testament to the life that she led, and the people-total strangers-that touched her with their warmth and compassion. God bless you for what you did as she took her trip home. I will never forget your compassionate act of kindness-and the animals will always sleep on her side of the bed." The "animals" were the two Care Bears that Terri had retrieved from the EVS office and given to the ailing patient to keep her company. Terri had noticed that the patient, who was a police officer, was not doing well and that the family was grieving over her condition. Terri's thoughtfulness touched the hearts of both the patient and the family. When the patient died several days later, Terri's act brought comfort in the midst of a trying time. |
