Crothall Momentum
Environmental Services -
Centers of Excellence
Crothall is in the startup phase of a program to create "Centers of Excellence," which will
establish tour accounts where we can showcase a range of services and enhancement programs in
a single location. They will be customers for whom we currently provide multiple support services,
with the full range of Crothall's base programs implemented. In addition, a large representation
of Crothall's optional programs, including patient satisfaction strategies and amenity programs
will be in place at these locations. This will allow Crothall to demonstrate how our model of
managing each department separately, under the direction of service specialists, produces superior
quality while still creating synergies when all of our departments work collaboratively.
Laundry & Linen -
Improving Scrub Apparel Availability
One of the ongoing challenges laundries and healthcare entities face is a lack of availability
of scrub apparel in the right sizes. Crothall has recently formed a strategic partnership with
Innovation + Passion + Automation (IPA) of Duluth, Georgia to introduce new technology to ensure
scrub apparel is available whenever and wherever needed. IPA is the manufacturer of scrubEx®,
an automated distribution system that controls the dispensing and return of scrub apparel. The
system is highly user friendly and virtually maintenance free. Crothall has introduced scrubEx® at
numerous locations around the country, and problems with scrub apparel availability disappear
immediately. scrubEx® is but one tool in Crothall's toolbox of systems and programs designed
to improve and optimize linen and scrub apparel utilization and availability.
Patient Transportation -
Innovative Patient Flow and Throughput Strategies
Patient Transportation is focused on improving patient flow, which encompasses throughput in
and out of the hospital, as well as patient movement within its walls. Effective patient flow
ensures peak utilization of equipment and services, resulting in higher revenue potential. It
also ensures quick and efficient discharge of patients from the facility, instantaneous cleaning
of the room, and readiness for the next patient- positively impacting the Emergency Department
flow and minimizing the potential for lost revenue resulting from diversion. Crothall's singular
management solution provides the leadership, processes, and software to manage an effective total
throughput solution. Transport statistics are collected, analyzed, and benchmarked to define
standards and monitor goals.
Facilities Management -
Managing Rapid Growth
The record level of sales activity this division has recently experienced has naturally led
to an amazing level of account startup activity. In a period of only 60 days, the Plant Operations & Maintenance
team will be performing 6 separate startups. Regional talent from all over the country will be
utilized to ensure smooth transitions and establish successful new relationships. At the same
time, strategic acquisitions that were recently made to strengthen the Clinical Engineering service
are being fully integrated during this period. Just in time for this exciting growth and change,
the national division meeting will take place in San Antonio, which will focus on team building,
strategy and direction for the division, training, and best practice sharing.
Business & Industry -
Flexible and Diverse Capabilities
Crothall's Business & Industry division has been adaptive and innovative in pursuing new opportunities
for growth. The division is now self-performing the many diverse services it provides in support
of the needs of clients. From mailroom to reception, janitorial to engineering services, Crothall
is constantly increasing its capabilities and service offerings to meet the changing demands
of the commercial sector. Customer satisfaction scores are at an all-time high, measuring consistently
in the high 90s. Partnership with Compass Canada has allowed Crothall to increase the capabilities
Compass can offer. A new sales team is actively pursuing new opportunities, which will continue
the growth of this successful division. |
Crothall Cares —
Generosity Blooms in Early Spring
MARCH
Crothall is participating in the American Cancer Society's "Daffodil Days." The oldest fundraising
drive for the ACS, this raises money for a variety of uses to help research cures for cancer, raise
awareness, and raise the quality of life for those suffering from cancer. Daffodils, one of Spring's
earliest blooming flowers, is a symbol of hope that cures will be found. The Pennsylvania state-wide
purchase of daffodils alone for this event represents the single largest flower order annually in
the world-exceeding even the Rose Bowl Parade. For more information, go to www.cancer.org.
APRIL
Crothall will be sponsoring a team for WalkAmerica with the March of Dimes. We've participated in
the campaign for the last several years, which has been dedicated to the fight against premature births.
The walk will take place at the end of April, and walkers will be requesting sponsors over the next
several weeks.
Anyone interested in participating can go to www.walkamerica.org to
sign up as an individual or as a team. If you are interested in sponsoring the Crothall team, please
email Nicole Pasquarello at npasquarello@crothall.com.
