Bart Kaericher, SVP/Sales & Marketing![]() What was your first job?My first job was a swimming pool maintenance guy at the community pool. I was 12 years old and thrilled to have it…lots of leaf raking, grass-cutting and cleaning of the pool... spring cleaning was the worst. My first job after school was an Account Manager for a medical supply company (Kendall McGaw)…this is where I gained my appreciation for the healthcare arena. When did you join Crothall?I joined Crothall in March 2000…..Bobby Kutteh and Duffy Hickey introduced me to this awesome company. What was your first job at Crothall? My first position at Crothall was Regional Sales Director….my territory was Eastern Pennsylvania/South Jersey. Who is your biggest influence?Without a doubt….the two important ladies of my life….my mother, and my wife Kelly have been instrumental in my development. What CD do you have in your car right now?My CD player doesn’t get much use these days…I prefer the satellite radio ...it is set on the “shuffle” or Bloomberg Financial News Channel. What is your funniest Crothall moment?I smile every time I think about the moment. We were at our National Recognition Meeting in Florida last year. After the dinner and awards banquet, we all migrated to the dance floor….out of no where… Bill Rothgery and Chris Hariegel broke out and did the craziest “solo” dance with a ball room chair. This is now known as the “Chair Dance”. It was too funny…I personally think they should try out for “America Has Talent.” Ask Bill and Chris to give you a personal demo…. What is your most special Crothall moment?Tough question. There are so many special memories to choose from. Being in sales, it is always such a special moment when you receive a call from a customer wanting to partner with us…awesome feeling. One special moment that I cherish is getting the “yes” from University of Virginia Medical Center…after my second attempt. Tom Racobaldo, Roy Kiscaden, Jim Piper, Sean Shapert, and I were “locked-in” Charlottesville, VA for a week…working, presenting, and negotiating. They were tough and long sessions, and all worthwhile as we have a wonderful partnership today. What is your favorite book?I FEEL GREAT! by Pat Croce—It is full of inspirational and motivating stories...I highly recommend it. What’s in your VCR, DVD or TIVO?The Sound of Music and CSI (Las Vegas) Who is your most favorite American Idol?Kelly Clarkston….I recently purchased her songs on Itunes. What advice would you give to someone who just joined Crothall?Go for it! Put in the hard work, have passion for the job, never stop learning, maintain a positive attitude, and good things will follow! Describe Crothall in October 2021 (another 15 years)? Two things are for sure: Crothall Services Group will be the #1 provider of quality services. We always have been and always will be! We will have the highest caliber of hourly associates and management teams in the industry. Now let me get my crystal ball…Crothall will be a $3.0 billion company (wow!). We will offer numerous services across multiple business sectors. Who knows – maybe even international? “Pizza and beer” or “Sushi and Sake?”Hmm…Sushi and Sake…can I substitute to a Cabernet Sauvignon? What is the one thing that nobody knows about you?I really enjoy gardening…flowers and vegetables. It is therapeutic for me…..not quite a “green thumb”. Country, Rap, or Rock?Country, Rock, and Jazz Favorite sports team or athlete?Spending the 90’s in Chicago. Michael Jordan is my favorite athlete…how many unbelievable game winning shots did he make? My favorite team is the Philadelphia Eagles…go Birds! Biggest “Pet Peeve?”People who “jump” lines…either on the highway, food court, or amusement park.
