Busboy – Chesapeake Bay Seafood House. I used to come home smelling like fish all the time…

April or July 1999 – it is the source of significant controversy.

What was your first job at Crothall?

Director of Finance and Accounting.

Who is your biggest influence?

My parents.

What CD do you have in your car right now?

Two of the greatest bands of all time - “Cheap Trick—Live at Budokan” and “The Doors Greatest Hits.” Few people know that Rolling Stone Magazine voted Cheap Trick’s “I Want You to Want Me” the greatest rock song of all time.

What is your funniest Crothall moment?

There are many, but the hulking Mike Bailey getting sea sick on a senior manager deep sea fishing trip to Key West was very funny—I’m sure Mike would disagree...

What is your most special Crothall moment?

There are many here also, but I think Graeme Crothall’s “retirement party” in Jackson Hole was certainly memorable. It was a touching event for him and one that signaled a changing of the guard for the rest of us.

What is your favorite book?

Do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Describe Crothall in October 2021 (another 15 years).

By that time, I will be 45 (or a few years older) and visiting most of the senior management in their retirement homes! With the young talent we have in the company today, I’m sure it will still be in the hands of very competent leaders.

What is the one thing that nobody knows about you?

I’ll give you a few: (1) My age - some know, but many don’t and love to try to guess; (2) My nationality: ½ Italian, ¼ Irish and ¼ Scottish, and (3) All time favorite food - Scottish meat pies. My late grandmother used to make them and they were outrageously good.

Little coffee packets being left in the overly elaborate Flavia coffee maker/dispenser in our corporate office…In reality, they’re probably mine from my last visit to the machine.
